I am a big fan of investment property and “second” homes. While the population of Arizona continues to grow and baby boomers begin to retire, Northern Arizona becomes an even more attractive place to invest in your future. While we have several great second home communities, many of them border Forest Service Land and will only hold a limited amount of people.
As the demand grows for this limited supply, it makes sense that the “value” goes up. Another great way to look at “value” is to consider the relaxation factor of getting away with family and friends. Although I am pretty sure that I will never live in a place where I have to shovel my drive way on a regular basis, it is pretty nice to be able to visit the cooler weather.
Some of the more popular places for second homes in Arizona would be Flagstaff, Pine, Payson, Sedona, "The Rim" etc.
Northern Arizona offers many communities that are a short drive to snow skiing and some really amazing hiking, camping and many other outdoor activities. Over the years, our family has owned property in Payson, Munds Park and, most recently, Flagstaff.
